Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Maxx, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What the app does

Maxx is a personal tool for listing the subscriptions you pay for, reviewing them, and deciding what to cancel. It does not connect to your bank, does not cancel anything on your behalf, and does not recommend specific products or services. When the app offers to open a service's cancellation page, it simply opens that service's own website in your browser — the cancellation itself happens there, on their terms.

Not financial advice

The Maxx Score, yearly totals, projections and reminders are simple calculations based on the figures you enter. They are not financial, budgeting, tax or debt advice, and not a measure of your actual finances. Any decision to keep or cancel a subscription is your own. Consult a qualified professional for advice about your finances.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter — including prices, billing dates, trial end dates and contract lock-in dates — and for checking the terms of the services you subscribe to. Reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee: a missed or late notification does not make Almstedt Studio liable for a charge you did not want. Almstedt Studio is not liable for any financial loss or other harm resulting from your use of the app.

Price and Maxx Pro

Maxx is free to download and use, with a limit on the number of subscriptions you can track. Maxx Pro is a one-time in-app purchase that removes that limit and enables cloud sync. There is no subscription plan, no ads, and no recurring charge of any kind. Purchases are made through Google Play or the App Store and are subject to the store's terms, including its refund policy. A purchase can be restored on another device signed in to the same store account.

Accounts

No account is required. If you choose to sign in for cloud sync, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. You may sign out or delete your cloud account at any time from within the app; your local list is unaffected.

Intellectual property

The Maxx app, its name, its design, and all associated materials are owned by Almstedt Studio. Service names shown in the app's built-in list belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the services you pay for. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the app except as permitted by law.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it (and deleting your cloud account, if you created one). We may discontinue the app, or specific features, at any time.

Disclaimer

Maxx is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Almstedt Studio disclaims all warranties, express or implied.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of Sweden.
