Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

DEADSTOP ("the app") is developed by Almstedt Studio. This privacy policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Data We Collect

The app collects the following data:

  • Training data you enter manually (workout plans, exercises, sets, weights, reps, notes, personal records) and their dates
  • Email address — required for your account, used for sign-in and password recovery
  • Account identifier — an ID assigned to your account when you sign up. Your training data is stored under it, and it is shared with RevenueCat so the app knows whether you have bought Pro.
  • Purchase history — whether you have bought Pro. This is handled by RevenueCat; the purchase itself is made through Apple or Google, and we never see your payment details.
  • App settings — units, theme, text size, rest timer and logging preferences, your active program, your favourite exercises and your goals. These are stored with your account so the app behaves the same on every device you sign in on.
  • Body weight — optional. Only stored if you enter one, and only used to estimate the calories burned in a session. Leave it blank and the app simply leaves that estimate out.

We do not collect your name, phone number, location, advertising identifier, or any other personally identifiable information.

Your gym reminder schedule is kept on your device only and is never uploaded.

2. Authentication

DEADSTOP requires an account to use. You sign in with an email address and password via Firebase Authentication. Your password is handled securely by Firebase and is never stored by us directly.

3. Data Storage

Your training data is stored securely in Google Firebase Firestore, associated with your user ID. Data is stored in the European Union (europe-west1) and encrypted in transit.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or disclose your data to any third parties, except as required by the infrastructure services listed below.

5. Third-Party Services

Cloud Storage hosts the exercise illustrations and animations. The app downloads those before you sign in, so Google receives your device's IP address for that request, the same way it would for any file downloaded from the internet. No training data is stored there.

6. Notifications

The app may schedule local notifications on your device for rest timers and reminders. These are handled by iOS or Android on your device. No notification content is sent to any server operated by Almstedt Studio.

7. Deleting Your Data

You have full control over your data and can delete it at any time:

Delete a logged session

Open the session — tap it in the calendar, or tap the last session on the home screen. Scroll to the bottom of that screen, tap Delete session and confirm.

Delete your account and all associated data (in-app)

You can delete your account directly from within the app:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Scroll to the Account section
  3. Tap Delete account
  4. Enter your password to confirm, then tap Delete forever

Your account and all associated training data will be permanently deleted immediately.

Delete your account by email (alternative)

If you cannot access the app, you can also request deletion by email:

  1. Send an email to [email protected] from the email address associated with your account.
  2. Use the subject line "Delete My Account".
  3. We will permanently delete your account and all associated training data within 30 days.

What is deleted: your account, email address, all training data (plans, sessions, sets, history), and all settings. What is kept: nothing — all data is fully removed. Anonymous purchase records may be retained by Apple or Google as required for financial/legal compliance.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data only for as long as your account remains active. Your training data is stored for as long as you use the app, so that it stays available across your devices.

When you delete an entry, it is removed immediately. When you delete your account — either in the app or by email request — your account and all associated training data are permanently deleted: in the app immediately, and via email request within 30 days.

We do not retain your data after account deletion, except where required by law. Anonymous purchase records may be retained by Apple or Google as required for financial and legal compliance, as described in section 7.

9. Children's Privacy

DEADSTOP is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
